Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are getting close to our deployment deadline and have still yet to get the Acronis Snap Deploy Software to successfully create a master image of any sort. Any ideas as to why it freezes while loading the Acronis Loader? It happens immediately after it starts booting from the CD, and before any GUI part of the Loader appears. When I restart my system, upon access to either of my optical drives with the rescue CD inserted, I get the message 'Acronis loader fatal error: boot drive not found. I've tried re-creating the cd several times and tested the CD's on multiple hardware configurations. Downloaded TI trial, got a legit 30-day serial, did a backup of C: and created bootable rescue media on a CD-R.
After creating the bootable media that is supposed to allow me to boot the target PC for image creation, I tried to test it on one of our PC's in our lab and everytime is freezes where is says "Starting Acronis Loader.". After having many failed attempts at using the remote image creation feature (always froze with 10 minutes remaining), Acronis Support advised me to create images using the Image Creation Bootable Media option. That is a truly wonderful feature.Hi, I've been attempting to evaluate the Acronis Snap Deploy Software for some time now.
Afterwards I created the Acronis Rescue Media CD with setting 'Win PE - Windows 8, Windows 8.1 Windows 10' which is created with Windows ADK and this can be bootet via Ventoy. I also think none of these have the XX option with the paid version, of doing incremental updates after the initial clone. Acronis AIO BootCD Download 2021 (formerly Acronis True Image) is a comprehensive personal cyber protection solution integrating advanced cybersecurity capabilities with our best-of-breed backup to guard users’ personal devices and backups from today’s cyberthreats. When I boot the ISO there is only the promt 'press any key to boot from CD/DVD' and then it jumps back to the boot loader.
I found what sounds like even better than Acronis online, HDclone, but I think it doesn't have a free trial for more than a limited number of GBs. Would what I just tried, which works, still be necessary if I did this the right way later? At second screen choose as below: Access the Troubleshoot Options, then Advanced, then Startup Repair, System Restore or if necessary a Reset. But, I am used to XXclone presenting a dual boot screen and being able to choose that way. Power up with DVD in drive, press BIOS Boot Menu Key, choose the UEFI DVD drive if offered, otherwise DVD drive. Later, I will start over and do this right!Īnd maybe I will not go back to using my usual XXclone.Įdit: I just learned, cause it struck me to try, if I go into my boot menu on boot, and choose the backup Seagate, that works.
Absolutely true, I do everything within Windows. I was just too tired, in too big a hurry.this missing puzzle piece you nailed is JUST THAT. Yes, I got clearly, given it's a sector by sector clone of a bootable drive, I assumed it would be bootable, how could it not be? That presented on the first screen and I just ran right by it.:| I also noticed that while both my drives are non RAID, they showed up as RAID in Acronis.īoth drives show up normally in Disk Manager, and now, Acronis, as proper clones.Īnd, as per below, in one interface, it seems I have the option to make the cloned drive bootable, but that option is greyed out.Ĭlick to expand.Corky, may the Cypbergod bless you. Then, using Easy BCD I added the backup drive assuming that would enable me to boot into it, but no luck.
When all was finished, I tried booting into my Acronis cloned backup drive and could not.
I formatted my backup drive and used Acronis properly to copy every sector of my main drive to it it seemed to go just fine the cloning went much faster than a full clone using XXclone. In order to use this software, you must boot the computer from this CD. It includes many tools to boot up a computer and fix most startup, PC configuration, and system management problems. This program, used to clone your existing hard drive to your new SSD does not run in Windows. Boot Disk does not modify the operating system already installed on a computers hard drive. So, I am trying Acronis True Image 2014, cause I thought it might be better. Active Boot Disk is a complete and functioning computer operating system on CD/DVD/USB disk. The paid for version also does incremental updates and saves time, I've been using the free version since setting up this system, but wanted to try something new. And, you have the option to make the backup drive bootable. Only when the Acronis startup tasks and services are disabled does the PC function without a hiccup. I do internal backup in my desktops, and in the past, have used XXclone which doesn't employ the usual imaging. I began turning services and applications on one-by-one and eventually discovered that when Acronis was set to boot with the PC or is turned on while the PC is running, it completely hangs Windows Explorer causing a force restart.
